PROFILES

Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City

Set in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City’s bustling international business neighborhood, Profiles is a multi award-winning creative office building that has garnered significant press for its innovative use of space and materials.

Sunlight permeates the eight-story structure through a perforated carbon-steel facade that acts as a sunshade and privacy screen. It is comprised of 450 panels that were digitally designed and then hand-bent to drape the building like a semitransparent skin. Featuring a walkway between the cladding and the glass in addition to a second floor terrace and a roof deck, Profiles thoughtfully creates an ideal indoor-outdoor experience for the building’s occupants.

The unique materials are carried into the interior design of the property, which has a showcase lobby ceiling, constructed of a series  of cylindrical metal lights. Profiles’ height and modern aesthetic, in comparison to the low-rise buildings in its vicinity, makes it a conversation piece for passersby. It represents a new wave of cutting-age design and development in one of CDMX’s most progressive locales.
