HUGO BALDERAS

As Director of Architecture & Design, Hugo Balderas has led the development of more than 110 residential, office, mixed-use, and hospitality projects throughout Mexico.

While studying architecture at La Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO), in Mexico City — one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America —Hugo worked part-time at Espiñeira and Muro Arquitectos where he refined his aesthetic and commitment to high-quality design. After meeting Alberto Djaddah Jamous at IBERO, he was invited to partner on what would eventually become Grupo Anima. The two have continued their collaborative working relationship over the last two decades.

Beyond his work at Grupo Anima, Hugo has additionally collaborated on several award-winning projects with such lauded firms as Belzberg Architects, Neme Design Studio, and Arup Group.
