ALBERTO DJADDAH JAMOUS
Founding Partner
As a leader in the firm for over two decades, Alberto has overseen the organization’s strategic direction and expansion from a focus on residential properties in Mexico City to include office and hospitality projects throughout the country. Today Grupo Anima’s international portfolio includes luxury apartments and condominiums, creative office properties, vacation properties, as well as retail centers in the U.S. and Mexico.
From formulating the group’s investment and development strategy to directing its cutting edge construction innovations, Alberto has played a pivotal role in the business’ focus. He ensures each property’s location is judiciously chosen based on the neighborhood’s unique style, culture, and amenities, which become part of the building’s experience.
Among his greatest achievements, Alberto was instrumental in the development of the first skyscrapers in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2005. He also has had a keen eye for coastal properties, and has overseen the development of residential projects in Bahia de Banderas beach in Punta Mita, in the Mexican state of Nayarit.
To ensure each building enhances the lifestyle of its users, Alberto also oversees each project’s design. Collaborating with the team’s industrious planners, architects, designers, and specialty consultants, he brings the best people together to create thoughtful, memorable, and unique properties that have garnered international recognition, value and awards.
Alberto has lead the firm to work internationally and forged close relationships and partnerships with key businesses. His prelude into the international market began in 2012 with a partnership between Grupo Anima and global engineering firm Arup Group. During this first transpacific architectural endeavor, Alberto collaborated with Belzberg Architects, an award-winning boutique architecture and interior design firm based in Santa Monica, California where he met owner Hagy Belzberg. Their connection initiated several award-winning collaborations, as well as multiple on-going projects in Mexico and Los Angeles.
While studying through the prestigious architecture program at UIA in Mexico City, Alberto initiated his first developments in Mexico City’s chic Polanco neighborhood, as well as Roma and Condesa. This preliminary endeavor drew him into the development business and continues to inspire his high-quality architectural works both in Mexico and abroad.
